Geometry is a powerful software program for the Macintosh and Apple IIgs that allows a "hands-on" approach to geometry never possible before. Geometry has been designed with educators and is compatible with all major textbooks. It acts as a private tutor to review, amplify and complement an entire year's course using the interactive capabilities of the computer.
Geometry follows the classic curriculum, and includes over 350 problems covering an entire year's coursework. Students learn at their own pace, reviewing, practicing and solving the kinds of problems found in homework and exams. The Macintosh version has a specially developed module that gives extensive practice with proofs.
Special interactive animation allows users to experiment with the basic concepts of geometry. Abstract theorems come to life on the screen; for example, students can prove the sum of the measures of the angles of a triangle equals 180 not only by formula, but by creating and moving angles on-screen themselves.
The goal of Sensei Software is to present key concepts in intriguing, interactive ways that help students master the subject and improve their performance in homework and tests.
Sensei means "master" or "teacher" in Japanese. Other Sensei programs are currently available for Physics and Calculus.
